Remember when I said I’m bad at taking progress shots? Here’s another shining example. The blade is foam core board mostly filled with expanding foam. The crossbars are paper, also filled with foam, then ‘glassed. I’ve been having a heck of time trying to get this blade perfectly smooth before painting it; hence all the spot putty.

Update:
I took more time than I should have spent on the blade; to get it just right. But it was worth it. I even took the time to wet sand the spray paint… (after taking all the time with Bondo to just cover it up with paint, der…) Then I put a coat of high gloss paint over the entire thing. What a difference!
As far as I know, this one survived just fine at the wedding. And it was lightweight enough that my Gramma could wield it. Hehe!
