World of Weaponcrafting: Journey’s End

For our wedding, we are crafting weapons from World of Warcaft (since WoW is part of our theme).

This is a Druid staff called Journey’s End. Since I will probably never ever get one in-game, I wanted to make one for the wedding.

This is the beginnings. I made a foam core profile as close as I could to the actual model then cut out “bones” for stabilization.

Next, filled with expanding foam

Update: This has been Bondo’d, sanded and painted. The antlers are… a work in progress. I can’t say I’m terribly pleased with it at the moment and it has taken a backseat to the other weapons I’m working on… like No’kaled, Staff of the Hidden Master, and Azuresong Mageblade.

Update again:

I’m hating the paint job… hating the antlers I made… this one is taking a backseat to the others… grrr

Update:
I hated the paint job and antlers so much that I recruited my wonderful friend Diana once again. She did an amazing job.

More pictures to come.
